We hear these all the time. Here is the truth, in plain words.
Myth: Hair grows back thicker after waxing.
Fact: It does not. With steady waxing, many clients see finer, sparser regrowth over time.
Myth: You have to let hair grow really long.
Fact: About 1/4 inch is enough, the size of a grain of rice. That is often 2 to 3 weeks after shaving.
Myth: Waxing is just for women.
Fact: We wax men too: backs, chests, legs and Manzilians.
Myth: Waxing is not clean.
Fact: A good salon uses a fresh stick every time it dips into the wax. The American Academy of Dermatology warns that double dipping can spread germs, so it is fair to ask any salon how they work.
Myth: Waxing is not a natural option.
Fact: It is one of the most natural hair removal methods there is: no lasers and no chemicals, just wax that lifts hair from the root.
Full body waxing
A full body waxing visit covers neck to toes, not the face. It is our longest service, so here is what happens.
Our full body wax is $250 on our current menu. Wear loose, soft clothes and plan for a longer visit.

We are not in Applewood itself. Our salon is at 102 Lakeshore Road East in Port Credit. Two easy ways to get here:
Head south on Dixie Road to Lakeshore Road, then go west through Lakeview into Port Credit.
Take the QEW west to Hurontario Street, then head south to Lakeshore Road and turn left.
Paid street parking and city lots are close to the salon.

For most people, it goes well. We use hard wax on tender areas, since it holds the hair and not the skin. Tell us about any skin issues or new medicine before we start.
Stop retinol, acid creams and some acne products at least 7 days before. Wait at least one year after Accutane.
It depends on your hair and skin. First visits can take a bit longer while we get to know your skin. When you book online, you will see the time we set aside.
Yes. Men book backs, chests, legs, underarms and Manzilians. A Manzilian is $80 on our current menu.
